In November 1995, Silicon Topology was founded with a simple yet enduring mission: to deliver excellence in IC layout engineering. At that time, semiconductor technology was still measured in microns. Today, the industry has advanced to A14, 2nm, and 3nm process nodes, driving unprecedented levels of innovation and complexity.
Over the past three decades, as technologies have continually evolved, one thing has remained unchanged—our belief that great layout engineering is more than just a step in the design flow. It is a critical foundation for achieving performance, reliability, manufacturability, and ultimately, product success.
The TSMC 2026 North America Technology Symposium provided a valuable opportunity for us to reflect on this journey and connect with customers, partners, and industry professionals from around the world. Through discussions on advanced-node technologies, analog IC layout challenges, device matching, parasitic optimization, and reliability enhancement, we were reminded of the remarkable pace of innovation shaping the semiconductor industry today.
